Cut Calories. Live Longer.

A study in The Journal Of The American Medical Association indicates that people who follow a more calorie restrictive diet may live longer.  A group of 48 overweight Louisianans all showed “biomarkers of aging” like insulin levels, metabolism and DNA damage were lowered when they followed varying degrees of low calorie diets.  Long term studies are still needed to determine if this actually leads to longer life but other studies have already shown that low calorie diets may help the heart to stay younger longer.
